The image above shows one of a pair of twin Sheraton-style post beds with smooth posts, circa. late 19th early 20th century. The beds feature the classic smooth turned Sheraton style posts as produced by late 18th and early 19th century cabinetmakers. The headboard silhouette is based on one of the designs popular in New England at that time. The side slabs are joined to the posts by traditional mortise and tenon construction lending great stability to the pieces. The beds are executed in mellow, brown mahogany with a smooth, satin finish and are in excellent condition. They will receive standard twin bed box springs and mattresses.
